Hi forum I’ve kindly been given a 110v Bosch siding mitre saw really cheap which has been well used on a building site. This doesn’t bother me as I’m going to set it up in my workshop and there it will stay in one place once I’ve cleaned it up may I add.
I need some help on what 110v transformer I need to operate this on my standard 240v power supply.
the saw model is GCM 12 SDE

just get a 1.5-3 kw unit...it has 2 x110 sockets on it.....
once u have it there will be/are plenty of dirt cheap site tools up for sale....
as most only use batt equipment now....
the transformers are on the bay from £25 squids....

Second hand on gumtree there’ll be loads. They are just a big lump of metal and wire encased in resin so nothing to wrong.

Just found one in Woking for £15 happy days saw works a dream all in saw and transformer owes me £55 very happy with that.

Don't forget to turn off the power to the 110v transformer when you finish with it for the day.
You will save electricity and there is less chance of it catching alight.
