Whats the spanner for? Possibly for tightening a nut? erm.....


Specifically, I have no idea, but it looks like you might place the other end over something and hit it with a hammer to round-over. I wonder if it is a security thing? You know, tighten up, round over, then be unable to un-tighten..

Is it an unfinished ring spanner blank?

I thought that but it’s too old for a combination spanner plus it would be a different size each end.
