Weed Pots

[Dalboy]

Two weed pots the wood does not need an introduction but just in case someone does not know it is the king of woods for grain and colour YEW.

Turned these today and got bored on the second one so added a captive ring to it. The photo makes one of them look as if it is leaning but rest assured it is not I had them both on the table by and double checked then realised that I had put a piece of MDF under the white backdrop that I use and forgot to take it out.

Try a Bud Vase all flowers to me are weeds :twisted:

Roundup, or some other Glyphosate product. :-D

Bud vase? I think you'd better call them ornaments before you get a knock on the door

really impressed ..... I have only just got a lathe and have made a couple of handles for my coffee machine .... with the off cuts I thought I would make a couple of bud vases ... I was really impressed with mine until I saw this thread ... they are really nice, I need to work on my finishing !

It will come with practice. These are ideal little things that are good to practice with. as for the finish as I stated I use a buffing system have a look at THIS
