Hey Toolsters!
Sorry to post another tool gloat, but here it is.
Just received a L-N Tite-Mark marking gauge from the tardy folk at Axminster.(only been waiting since Nov 03!)
What a lovely piece of work this is-makes my beech gauges look a bit amateur. Has anyone else used one? Saw Rob Cosman using it at the Dovetail lessons at Tools 2003 and thought I better get one.
Cheers,
Philly

Philly..... any idea how you keep them wheel based marking tools sharp..??? I've thought about getting one......but without knowing how to maintain it, figured I'd best stick with knives for now...

M,
reading through the bumph with the gauge, to sharpen you remove the wheel from the main shaft and hone the flat edge on a stone with your finger. Sounds easy!
Regards,
Philly

Philly - nice purchase! I have one too and find it invaluable.
I haven't had to sharpen it yet but as you say it looks as easy as can be.
You can even get extra and differing knives for it for different tasks.
Cheers
Gidon
