This is the classic heavy duty Wadkin RZ surface planer.

Ive had it for 19 years -the dealer I bought it from told it me it came from a FE college.

Motor
3phase motor 4hp no brake

cutterblock
127mm dia x 400mm 2 knife HSS knives -I may have a spare set.

bed
1830mm long both infeed and outfeed tables can adjust up and down.
rebating facility

fence
rack and pinion
cants to 45deg
fence plate 940mm x 140mm

condition
It is in its original Wadkin livery, it is fully working, although I do know the motor is mounted on a cast plate that has a crack in it, although that doesnt affect its use.
This is a classic Rolls Royce heavy duty surface planer, that is made to work 24/7. Its actually only had an hour or so of work per week since Ive owned it since most of the work goes through a 4-sider.
The rise and fall in the infeed table is really smooth.
I should say these image were taken when I upgraded to a bigger machine, it does now have a bit of surface rust -but can easily be cleaned to above condition.

The machine is at my workshop in East Grinstead, It is collection only, we can help with loading as we have a forklift. It wont go in the boot of a car :D

price: £1000

That is a thing of beauty!

Hope someone gives it a nice home.

How heavy is it? Just curious!

What he said ^. That is stunning machinery.

I'm always making room in my shop for an aircraft carrier. You're a bit far for me, any closer and I'd be all over this.

Good luck with the sale.
