Hello.
I have found a Wadkin table saw in my area and the seller wants 438£.
He did only wrote that it is working and runs on 380V.

In my basement I have only 230V 10amp.
Can I change the Wadkin to run on 230V 10amp,
without its gonna cost me too much and will run/work good/smooth or should I buy something els.?

In the meantime, thank you so much for your attention and I really appreciate any help. :D

You're not in britain presumably?

whats the power on the motor? it only looks a smaller saw
But a 10 amp supply doesnt run much in the way of machinery at all

Sorry no, I'm in Denmark and was hoping that I could get some help from The United Kingdom of Great Britain. :D
I don't know what's the power of the motor but I'll ask the seller.

It sounds as if the motor is 3 phase. If that is the case and you only have single phase supply then you will need to either change the motor or purchase a unit to generate the required supply, there is a slight chance the motor can be set to run on 230 volt 3 phase.
Do you have 3 phase supply? I know many homes in Germany do.

10 amps, can you even run a decent single phase motor of that? I would've figured Denmark to have the same electrics as Sweden and Finland, i.e. 3-phase in every home. Is it just not in said room where you are? If so I'd recommend having it put in.

That is a very good price for a good quality saw. You aren't likely to find such deals very often.

Hope you can get a better power supply installed in your basement. I also think you should have three phase in the main panel in most houses in Denmark. Having a 16 ampere three phase outlet installed from there onwards would not cost too much. On 16 ampere three phase you could run that saw and almost any other machine you may want in a hobby workshop. 10 ampere single phase is only enough for handheld power tools.
Three phase is a far superrior system compared to single phase.

Tillykke med sagköben
