I have the Wabeco B1230 and love it. I ordered it directly from Wabeco and I think it arrived in three or four days, but I live in Germany.

I ordered the B1230 with the tap handle and bushing that fits in the same 40mm collar for the drill. This makes taping threads perpendicular to the piece much easier. The B1230 kit also came with a vice, but I've never needed it in the field.

I modified the solid steel vertical bar a bit so it would fit in the Bosch (Sortimo) 136 L-Boxx. I had to cut 30mm from one end of the bar so it would fit diagonally in the L-Boxx, but the bar has plenty of travel and I have never come close to using the full length.

I have a Dewalt D21441 corded drill that I use with the Wabeco when I'm on site installing locks. I use the Bessey TK-6 Clamp on the Dewalt trigger to set the drill speed. I plug the drill into a small switched power strip so I can set the drill speed with the Bessey clamp and control the drill with the power strip.

I used the B1230 to replace a cheap (in every sense of the word) table top drill press that I disassembled and hauled around the worksite. The runout on the quill was bad, but until the B1230, it was all I had. Since I had the Dewalt drill anyway, all I needed was a stable drill stand. The combination of the Dewalt and B1230 outperforms the small drill press for the work I do.
