Could someone help me with this please:
When I click "View posts since last visit" I get all my unread posts, but if I do not read some of them, or accidently close my browser, my unread posts do not appear next time I click the "View posts since last visit" page. So I effectively "lose" my unread posts.
Is this a problem my end; the browser (IE 6), my settings etc?
Or is this just how it is for everyone?

Thanks

I think its a bit of both.... I think it may be that when the page loads it updates the cookie with the date and time of your last visit. So, if you close the window and re-open it, it will check this time and date when loading the 'new posts' page. However I have seen forums act in a different way where by it records which posts have actually been read.

Obviously Charley is the authority on this
