Viceroy Wood Lathe 6SBD need a chuck

Dear all. I would like to buy a chuck for the lathe shown above (Viceroy 6SBD), some research showed a right hand thread 8 x 1 1/2''. Any suggestions also a reasonable set of HSS chisels at approx £90.

the the right hand thread and the left hand are different

the right is 1.5-inch diameter by 8 t.p.i thread

and the left 1.25-inch by 9 t.p.i

i would contact peter child as it says on there website that they need to be specially made

If you have to have anything specially made I would do this.
get someone to make an adapter with a female thread to screw into your headstock and with a male thread to suit a common size spindle for the accessories you want. This decision may be biased if you already have something expensive that does not fit the current thread. anything you have which does fit the current thread will still fit.
