Hi,

Has anyone here transferred VHS video recordings to DVD? I want to transfer a whole bunch of stuff on to disk and would like some advice. Is it easy to do yourself, or are should I pay a company to do it? I've got about 90 - 100 hours on tape to transfer.

Cheers

Howard

Thanks Andy

Blimey, this forum is like a mini version of google (other good search engines still available!) Didn't think to search the archive here.

Cheers

It is easy to do as indicated in that other thread. I have this all setup on my PC so can do it for you if you find it too much of a PITA. I'm sure we can come up with some sort of deal ;)

I've tried recording them onto my PC with mixed results (and a lot of effort). The much easier route is to buy a standalone DVD recorder for the living room. My Daewoo cost £99 and is fantasic-works just like a video recorder except you get a DVD at the end of it!
Hope this helps
Philly :D
