Meranti 180mm x 49mm
Utile 150mm x 36mm

Wellingtonia 75mm sq x 200mm
Lime 50mm x 185mm
American Ash 50mm x 235mm
Tulipwood 50mm x 295mm
Sapele 57mm x 180mm
Meranti 46mm x 230mm
Beech (x2) 1 @ 48mm x 170mm & 1 @ 48mm x 170mm

With carriage, the whole lot cost under £39. Being new to this I don't know if that reprsents value for money or not but doesnt seem too bad to me.

Today, I picked up these:

12 pieces in all, I'm told they're Ash, approx 80mm in diameter and maybe 250mm long, £6 for the lot. Except, they all look something like this:

I'm not sure these are safe to turn?

the £39 lot seems good value to me. no idea what they would cost elsewhere but you got plenty, hours of turning fun there.

The ash, I would want to know how deep the shakes go and I would also be hesitant.
