Just thought I'd share my experience with this, as there was some confusion with the pa to hg values.

When vacuums pumps list an ultimate pa value, ...the lower the value, the better. Anything 1pa or less *could* give a really good vacuum of 29hg or more.

I purchased a £100 0.8pa 3cfm vacuum pump from Amazon and am getting very good results, 25hg+. And that's with my poor hose connections 😁👍

The pump has some odd sized refridgeration thread, flared sae, which I can't find a connector to adapt to 1/4 bsp.

Thought this might help someone else.
