Just got myself a Vac pump and a pot. I want to use it on wood that has splits in it (i have thrown countless log blanks away as they are unsafe to turn)
I have seen videos where they use clear thin plastic and wrap it around the work piece then stand it on another piece and use a hot glue gune to seal one piece to another, what is the clear plastic, look like it could be acetate.
Also are there plastic bags with like straws in the do that allow the vacuum around the work piece.
I have read some articles on the forum but they don't seem to answer my questions.
Looked on Youtube and not that much there surprisingly.
