Needed to stock up on ahesives the other day. Use mostly Titebond Red & Blue. Anyway got a few bottles and noticed one of the blue bottles (exterior grade) looked a bit "solid" ie wasn't too free flowing. Read the label which suggested giving the bottle a good seeing to. Helped a bit but still very thick and gelatinous.
As the label indicates a 3 year shelf life reckoned it must've be living in a warehouse for a long time. It was only a small bottle so wasn't too worried.
As it happened the next day an issue of Shopnotes arrived and lo and behold the following was in it:

Ref the code on the Titebond bottles- 1st digit indicates the year (2 = 2002 etc). The 2nd digit indicates the month(A = January etc. But "I" is not included in case of confusion with "1".

My contribution for today....

Rgds
