Hi Folks,

Does anyone use a router, (Other than a Festool) with the Festool guide rails?

I want to know if my 177E would fit the router support that fixes to the guide-rail. Can't see my way clear to getting a Festool 1/2" router just yet. I'm happy with the extra I paid for the Festool stuff I have, but the routers are a ridiculous price, for tools which surely can't be proportionately better than the rest!

TIA :D

I have the festool 1400 and a makita 700 that I use on the rail but each needs its own attachment system ( the makita and festool rails are the same ) The problem lies in the rods which are different thicknesses and different distances apart.

Thanks Graham.
Just as I thought would be the case.
Oh well, Festool routers are not for me!

I'll find a way of using the fence that comes with the 177E.

Thanks again. :D
