This is a long shot but..... I have removed a small branch from my Cornus Maas. It is an interesting wood - hard, heavy, dense. It seems a shame to put it on the log pile but I have already carved a stick from similar.
Branch: sorry about the shadows - only sunny place in the garden at the moment.

Could it make an interesting addition to a wood collection? It is supposed to be excellent for tool handles. Is there someone out there that does small carvings? - It is excellent for that. More than happy to give it away if someone wants it.
