On a previous drill which I owned whilst living in America, my portable drill could be locked at any speed, allowing me to mount it and use both hands for sanding etc. I just bought a fabulous new Bosch GSB 18V drill but there is no such "lock". Can anyone suggest how one might be able to get the drill to run at a continuous speed without having to hold the trigger on all the time?
Thanks in advance.

Just be aware that if the drill does not have a lock facility it may not be rated for continuous running as far as heat is concerned.

Well, this is exactly why I joined this forum : )
A very simple solution and much appreciated. I'll give it a try and am sure that will do the trick. I don't plan on running the drill for more than a few minutes at a time and I'm sure that the Bosch Professional series would more than likely run for a while before over heating.
