Firstly....Great Forum, wish I had came across it years ago !!

I am desperately needing a piece of hardwood plank at 14" - 20" wide and 36" - 60" inch long, (or even a hardwood kitchen worktop offcut) I have been let down twice by suppliers online, this will need to be seasoned hardwood ready to oil, its my daughters birthday party and I have built a wood fired Pizza oven, this plank would be a pizza cutting board and serving plank, I'm not holding my breath as I need it before Saturday 25th July, I can collect within a reasonable distance or will pay a courier,i'm willing to pay for the timber..obviously !, I live in Newcastle upon Tyne..hope someone can help

cheers guys

an ikea wooden worktop would probably be the easiest bit- at least it is seasoned and just needs cutting.

Hi
I don't have what you want unfortunately as I'm only 20 miles away but was at my brother in laws near Barnard Castle on Saturday and they have a steel paddle for their oven. Something like one of these http://www.pubshop.co.uk/catalog/vogue- ... wwod7CoF_g

If you want wood, why not buy a couple of t&g oak flooring boards from one of the floor people on the factory estate near Blaydon, glue them together, cut to shape and run a sander over them. The youtube vid shows using ply so as I one off if you're stuck maybe? I would have thought a paddle needs to be pretty thin though.

I don't think he wants a peel. He wants a large cutting board.
