Unusual sash clamps

[TFrench]

Picked up these clamps at a local steam rally at the weekend. They're really unusual and I'm struggling to find any info on them. The wedge slides in to take up the distance between the peg, then pulling the lever cams it up tight. There are a few patent dates on the handle, in American date format. Next job is to try finding the patents.
