I thought I would share this app for those that are interested. It is a totally free service run by my local library ( I am assuming all libraries run a similar service).
I have been using it for maybe 4 years and am “reading” around 3 books a month at the moment. I have mentioned it to few people and no one has ever heard of it, it’s not well publicised.
The only expense in all that time has been the initial visit to the library to get the code to join, you may be able to do it over the phone or walk from where you live. From then on I haven’t had to visit.
As public services come more under pressure, the more we use their facilities the better. I have never used any of the other paid services so cannot comment on how good it is compared. But pound for it should stack up
