unknown spindle moulder

Hi all I got this little thing delivered today. Just wondered if anyone knows what make it is. It will be getting stripped and checked before it gets used. Can anyone recomend any modifications to make it safer/better and what type of head would you recomend?

Are you sure it's a spindle moulder, it looks odd to me, could it be a bobbin sander?

Thats what I bought it as

It's the fence i can't see any adjustment. And there would be some kind of guarding on top if it were a spindle! any idea what speed it turns at, has it got more than one speed? though even a sander may have more than one speed.

The fence can be moved in the slots, theirs a mark on the table where the fence has been for a long time. Near the centre. I haven't had a chance to look properly but it looks to be one speed. The motor does not look original and I haven't checked the speed. It has some spacers on the spindle.
