Union 5 drawer machinist’s cabinet in very good clean condition, 2 keys all drawers work smoothly, original leather carry handle. Has had an easy life. See pics for details

They were expensive when i did my apprenticeship back in 1965. I was on about £12.00 a week and i gave up half of that to housekeeping at home. and these were way out of my reach. I eventually a metal one, not the sheer luxury of the polished wood one. The guy teaching me 'Harry' he had one lovely wood, polished and quiet when the draws were opened. Mine would scrape and grind.
Many many moons ago now, 'Harry' sadly long passed away, he was a good bloke.

I always converted them when I was younger; I have now made myself a couple out of teak. One was made a couple of years ago using a manual mill and the other last year as my first project with my new saw and router. This is last years one ( I don't like dovetail or finger joints ):

hey are very nice indeed. Your mention of Teak jolted my memory, i was doing a craft fayre just before Christmas last year when i was asked if i would like a solid Teak (broken) dining table for free. Of course i accepted and gave him one of my pens.
