Hi everyone!

Just wondered if anyone knew the Union Jubilee JG10 pedestal buffing machines?

I have just been offered a single phase one but am unsure about how powerful it is in use? The plate is rated 0.55Kw - but says max amp draw of 5 Amps.

So am unsure what HP the motor will be... :?

Spindle RPM is 2000 - and max wheel diameter is 10 inches.

I am looking to use it to polish aluminium with stitched & sisal mops. I need a reasonably powerful machine to get surface scratches out.

Would it be suitable?

Thanks!

Hi

0.55 KW works out at 0.75HP ( 3/4 HP )

I have a 1HP polisher and it does most jobs I need it for

Depends how much it for sale at , if its cheap go for it , if its not cheap keep looking

Bought it - and it's great :D

It needs a bit of tlc - so I'll most likely strip it / service it and reassemble.

Anyone know where I may be able to get a copy - pdf or otherwise - of the service manual?

Also - the original start switch has been replaced by an ill fitting Brook one - which itself isn't working great... Anyone know where I may be able to find an original start switch assembly?

Thanks!
