London screw, GWR, OSC amongst others for fasteners.

Armeg for SDS and there are plenty of companies supplying surgical instrument manufacturing with drills and reamers.

If you’re after specifically wood screws and drill bits you probably need to buy very old second hand ones, quality may be very poor.

what are you hoping to achieve from UK only parts?

Thanks for the reply, I have seen London screw but couldn’t see much in the way of wood screws from them, I will check the others to see if they are made in the UK.

I currently use spax and was toying with a wurth account but have noticed that some of the supply on tools from The EU is not quite as prompt and a little more from a certain brand. This could be coincidence but at some point we will see the difference being out of the EU so just hoping to find an alternative.

to be clear I want anything from framing to hinge screws and want to replace some fisch twist hss bits and am always in the market for any wood drill bits. Might be a good time to consider a new long term supplier

Sounds like you’re looking for complications that might not materialise. If you have current supply problems look for alternatives or carry more stock. Being UK based only I’d expect to make things worse for you as you will have a minuscule range of options

Thanks for your concern, the companies you mentioned either only make machine screws/bolts etc or import everything else other than the carpenters mate range which seem uk made and looks interesting but only useful for external work, however I will order a sample pack to check them out.

it’s a simple question really and tbh even if it is a case of I want to know if anyone recommends any general purpose wood screws that are made in the uk it isn’t that complicated. I have considered carrying more stock, hence me thinking about using Wurth and just doing a monthly order.
Chances are that I have been drawn to the brands I use throughout my career for good reason but nothing ventured nothing gained so the question of If there are any Good quality UK made wood drill bits or screws still stands

Lidsters manufacture drill bits in the UK of the very finest quality, but I would assume they don't really offer much for woodworking given they specialise in tools for the aerospace and injection moulding industry.

Fundimentally, UK manufacturing tends to be focused on high value, high precision and consumables / drills for the woodworking market are neither.
