I have been successfully using brass or copper powder to fill in some minor shaked in some pieces. I would also like to use other material. I have been trying to get turquoise but am having difficulty understanding what and whaere to buy it. Is there anything else which can be used. I tried crushed shell but did not like it very much.

Children's pots of paint powder from most good art shops mixed with resin and for different effects You could also try coal dust, charcoal dust, glitter or rice with dyed resin I have even used curly bits of swart from a metal tuning lathe they all work that should keep you going for a while till you come up with some more ideas
