Just Wondering What The best Way To Turn And Finish Both Buffalo Horn And deer Horn as pens I Know That extraction is the foremost safety factor and also that deer being porus harbours certain nasty diseases that humans can contract im looking for a real shining finish when my hand is in a better state i will be turning the both that will be quite soon i hope i realise drilling them will be slowly done because im informed they are like drilling acrylic its the finish im finding hard to get info on

Done buffalo horn, stinks badly when drilled & turned. Nice finish straight off the gouge tho, I just used carnauba wax but I think if I do another one I would use Acrylic spray lacquer, de-nibbed between coats & buffed up.
Hope the hand gets better soon
