Hi all,
I really like this saw but I have it in bits at the mo to finally sort out the ‘pull’ blade operation once and for all as it’s never been aligned properly (by the way I’ve cracked it).

Anyway, decided to take it to bits completely and give it a good overhaul/clean out etc.

With regard to the front plastic panel can anyone please tell me what the little black, spring loaded knob is for? Having got the machine in bits I can see NO reason for it being there as it doesn’t connect to or touch anything?

I’m left to wonder if the guy who sold me it years ago had taken something off previously for whatever reason??????

I’ve attached two photos of the bare plastic panel, one from front and one from rear.

Any thoughts would be appreciated as I’m left scratching my head.

Many thanks,
Dq

Is that to stop the tilt at 45 or 0 degrees?
You can possibly pull (or push) to get another couple of degrees tilt?

Hmmm....that does make some kind of sense but there’s nothing for it to push to/link to unless the previous owner did remove something. I’ll bear that in mind and have another look tomorrow to see if it looks like something is missing. Thanks for responding.
