Hi,

Is it possible to make 45° cuts with the TS200 ?

The blade (an aftermarket Freud) seems to foil against the cast iron when it gets near 45°. Is this something that can be adjusted on the saw carriage?

thanks!

It won't be the blade's fault.
Have you checked that the position you have photographed is actually 45 deg? It might already be 46 or 47. There is a stop inside the machine that you can adjust to get it right.
Alternatively, you should be able to adjust the trunnions or table. I forget on the TS200 whether the trunnions are suspended from the table or if the table is mounted onto the frame, over the trunnions. Either way you should be able to adjust one in relation to another, normally to rotate the machine until the blade is parallel to the mitre slot, but you'll probably get a mm or two sideways adjustment as well.

I humbly agree with Mr. Maskery. I think the trunnions (which hang from the table on the TS200) are set up too far over to the left.

You'll have to do a full alignment on the saw afterwards, but loosen the pairs of Allen bolts at each end of the blade, and push the saw carriage over to the right as far as it will go (you might use a long flat-bladed screwdriver under the table to engage with the trunnion blocks so they slide over. Then retighten.

At that point check the blade is parallel to the mitre slot and then check the fence is parallel to the blade (and the sliding table, if you have one). You'll almost certainly need to do a re-alignment at that point, and make another ZCI if you have one.

If that doesn't do it, I have no idea.
