Only seen the videos and i think it looks great. However having just purchased the mains version I can't justify the cordless version too. Well not yet. :-"

I plan to buy one when I need new batteries for my T18 and Carvex. Since the batteries are £150 each and i would have to buy them anyway that's £300 I can deduct from the price of the saw which makes it quite reasonable. Or is there something wrong with my logic there?

That sounds like a plan. :)

A bit off topic, how do you find the battery life on the 18v?

They do look nice. I mainly use mine in the workshop, so I actually prefer the 240v version as it saves having to manually operate the dust extractor. A mate visited the other day and said "These look good. They're like a corded-cordless tool", referring to the Festool kit. Sums it up quite well.

I assume you mean the life between charges, rather than the service life, which I'm hoping is going to be several years at 150 quid a pop.
I'm only a hobby user, but I use the drill most evenings and all weekend and a 4.2Ah battery lasts me about 3 weeks between charges, it just seems to go on and on. These are the first Li-ion tools I've owned so I don't have anything to compare it with but my previous Makita drill I would put on charge every other day.
The Carvex came with a smaller 3Ah battery but it still seems to stay on 'full' indefinitely no matter what I do with it. Overall, I am totally blown away by the battery life, you can almost forget about them, I even put the charger away in the systainer when I'm done because I know it will be weeks till I need it again.
