Nice variety! I too like loose tenons - they are so quick and easy as well as saving wood. The Rat is perfect for them as it it so easy to cut the mortises in the end grain compared with almost any other method.

I look forward to seeing how it turns out.
 
John, what an excellent idea to use different joints. I like.

Chris, I agree about using the woodrat for the mortices for loose tenons. I don't know how else this could be done, but no doubt Tony has a jig for it :lol:

Got the base assembled and given it its first coat of Danish oil.
