Trend drill bit in collet

I've been using my Trend Snappy set recently and have been frustrated by how the drill bit very easily spins in the collet! I have tightened the thread in the vice and haven't noticed an improvement.

Is this just a fact of life for this type of product?

Similar experience here (crappy snappy)
Replaced them with a Japanese Anex No99 - much better quality. Available from Feramenta on Ebay
The ball detent on the hex shaft looks designed for japanese impact drivers, simply turned another groove closer to the end of the shaft to suit my locking bitholders
