My old man has a wood store in the roof of a barn, which is dry but subject to hot/cold changes. He has found woodworm in some of the wood stored there (a mix of logs, par, partial furniture pieces) and was planning to burn the lot to get rid of the woodworm. Is there any form of treatment that could be applied to an entire woodstore with minimal effort to save what is in there rather than waste all that wood?

Thanks for any inputs.

have no advice but have the same problem.
i was thinking of moving out all the wood and spraying the area with treatment using a knapsack.
will follow this post with interest

Try searching, this has been well covered.

If the barn is dry then the woodworm infestation occurred elsewhere, the worm will die and won't come back. But if the barn is damp then no amount of treatment will prevent re-infestation.

I thought borax was commonly used on milled timber to prevent woodworm.

hi work for midland preservation we use woodzone insecticide from Biokilcrown ,its permethrin based its a mico emulsion kills on contact penetrates 3/4 mmI
