Hi guys
My names Matt and I'm 21. I am a cabinetmaker at Paul Davey's and I studied at Peter Seftons furniture school, I've been at work for nearly 2 years and I did the full course at Pete's before hand. I'm interested in trying to get a placement in a different country working as a cabinet maker to see how things are different and hopefully learn a whole heap of new skills plus it gives me a chance to see the world. Wondering if anyone had any idea's or even contacts. Thinking a maximum stay of a month. Any thoughts would be welcome.
Thanks for reading.
Matt

Hi Matt. Most cabinet making companies in New Zealand are one-man-band operations. If you fancy it (and it's a long way to come just for a month ) you might try contacting David Haig. David is well known for his signature rocking chair and runs classes in cabinet making. He might be able to put you in touch with someone. His website is

Good luck.
