Transfer of Guarantees?

Does anyone know if the Axminster guarantee with new equipment purchased there is a guarantee on the equipment, or linked to the buyer as well. Is it transferable to another buyer if a machine were sold during the guarantee period.

I can ask Axminster later on today, but wondered if anyone knew this please

i would check with axminster. The terms and conditions are a contract between the buyer and axminster, and specifically exclude any other party from being able to make a claim, unless allowable by law. If you sell the machine, the new contract would be between you and the new buyer.

However, axminster may well have a goodwill policy, and providing the new buyer has a proof of purchase, may be more relaxed about it than the hard legal stance of the terms.

Just confirmed by Axminster. If the new buyer has the original receipt, then the guarantee will be OK

Sounds as if it's worth waiting for. About 2-3 weeks marcros.

That sort of guarantee should be standard with all manufacturers. What are some of them trying to get away with if they don't support their products like Axminster.
