Following on from the topic "Paint suitable for children's toys".
I would have been delighted to be able make a number of these carved shire horse rockers.
Completed prototype shown.
But it would have been absolutely impossible to guarantee ELF & SAFETY with all the moving parts.
How do rocking horse makers cover themselves?
The insurance must be prohibitive.

I haven't a clue about your question but that is one beautiful looking rocking horse. An incredible amount of work must have gone into it.
 
Just an idea (I have no clue though) but could they not be marketed as decorative pieces as opposed to toys as surely this would exempt them from any health and safety issues?
