I purchased a Rutlands Raised Panel Router Set some time ago when they were on sale. My son asked if I would make a toy chest as a Christening Present for my twin Grandsons so I decided this was the time to try out the router set.
The Chest size was 920 x 330 x 580mm high and the material American White Oak to match existing furniture.
The Stiles were machined on two faces to make the corner pillars.
The Raised Panel cutter diameter was too large to fit the router table so a false top and fence was clamped on to accommodate it.
The lid was fitted with a soft closing mechanisim to prevent little fingers being caught.
