Managed to get quite a bit done today even if it was not all completed items.

Two bowls done this afternoon the first a spalted bowl believed to be beech and the second Ash burnt on the outside and wire brushed the grain filled with "Hot Pink" wax and then a coat of woodwax over the top.

Then sorted but not completed a musical themed bowl and a VE day vase (a bit late I know) which I managed to get some of the back done.

On top of that cut up some burrs into rough blank sizes ready for turning.

Very productive day Derek, like the simplicity of the high contrast sharp detail across the black/wood boundaries.
 
I especially like the ash bowl, I wouldn’t have thought of pink!

Thank you Chas all the time I have been turning this is the first burnt piece.

That is the problem with some colours when applied to different wood or different finishes they can appear totally different from what they started out as
