Looks handy, what vice parts have you used?

It is a Veritas. Nice vice. I have got to put some holes in for bench dogs yet.

Thought it might be, is there some form of quick release in it?

No. Axminster do one with a quick release by doing half a turn of the handle. I like simple things, less to go wrong.
