Well if you thought I had done some turning then you are wrong, spent the day having a good sort out of the wood pile. The gas bottle does not live there it has been put elsewhere

The wood on the plastic draw is all lime wood for carving

In the draw all my pen blanks

You have a nice little store going on there :) Im slowly building mine up

I don't think any of that lot is worth keeping Dal, I'd be more than happy to visit you with my van and trailer, just think of all that extra space you'd be freeing up!

One day you will suddenly realise that the wood pile has grown and need to thin it out for better offerings. Which is what I am waiting for

What so I can have fun filling it up again

I am sure it would look a lot neater in my shed:)

No I don't think so. I would not want to be responsible for making your shed look untidy

And I forgot this little pile. The wood pile is spreading I just can't say no to wood

It's nice to see I'm not the only person who keeps what my good lady calls 'fart-size pieces of wood which are of no use for this or any future job'
(She is of course completely correct and whenever I get yet another trailer full of wood, I add the 'fart-sizers' to the burning pile) - then everyone's happy #-o

In the picture with the morrisons bags(there are three of them the third is hiding around the back) in those bags are loads of "fart-size pieces of wood" as you call them I do keep them as I also make toys and wooden models so they are always useful as in the case of the ford car and fire engine I made

You are by no means on your own collecting 'fart sized' pieces of wood. I have a bin I toss the offcuts from pieces I make as they all come in handy for various things, saves having to chop up decent sized pieces of wood. I think Chas does the same and uses them for his segmented boxes.
