Welcome to Kent, England's Best Bootfairs

The fillister has been put to use already..it had a job waiting for it..so major result
i was hoping for a 778 but this has done all i wanted from it
my router will get stuck in back of cupboard now

the infill was just a bit of luck tbh...never owned on before
no makers name , sorby iron
it is very heavy and needs some work
the iron needs a sharpen
the sole could do with a "clean up"
it will hopefully be a user.....is it acceptable to polish \ hone the sole ?
i know it wont look in keeping with the aged look

Well done Steve.

As to the sole that will depend on whether its flat or not.

i will stick a straight edge on it
if it is out i was just going to put some wet n dry on my surface plate and give it a once over

Steve

Well well! Further proof that Kent boot fairs throw up the best finds and that Jimi's concentrating too much on stargazing!

Three infills is my score so far in Kent...but alas my days of getting there at 5am are limited...although I plan to go to one this weekend!

Steve...if you want to pop over to the workshop with the infill I will give you my thoughts....I'm only at Wrotham Heath junction M20/M26

Cheers

I saw a Norris 50 at my local auction.

It was cracked right through the cheek and had been brazed, messily.

The braze repair had broken.

As seen at the auction, it was repaired with Gaffer tape!!
