Hi, I've been using a Titan vacuum (iirc the 30 litre with power take off) for a while and its been fine. I was just enquiring if anyone knew whether the bags from other manufacturers (festool, etc) would fit as I'd to get some fabric/cloth bags instead of the standard paper ones. Hoping to get a bit of reusability.
thanks

I buy the paper ones, and then cut one side off, so I can empty it. I then fold over the bit I cut and clip it closed again (I use binder clips, but a pipe with a slide down it also works).

If I am careful not to hover up anything sharp, then I get a good few uses out of it.

Would probably be better to try a cloth bag though

thanks for the replies. I'll have a look at that site. I've reused the paper bags a few times but they seem to fail around the cardboard inlet hole pretty quick, even with being careful.

Another thought, I have a Record Power DX1000 that I use for machines. This is pure curiosity, could you use the same filtration method on the titan (put a small filter bag over the filter)?
thanks

I've done that in the past, but I didn't find it any better than using the cartridge filter. Still a PITA to clean

I don't know why we moved away from bagged vacuums, so much easier. I can buy 500 sheets of paper for a few quid. Why can't I buy replacement bags for pennies?
