Hi there, I'm new to the forum.
I recently stripped and stained a pine floor and put down some sanding sealer. This has turned the floor a little red, when I want a dark cool walnut-like tone.
In the past I have used water based varnish that has a slightly blue tint to it to great effect in taking out red, orange tones, but I don't have that to hand ATM.
I do have some blue alcohol based wood stain (Morrells). What would happen/ could I put that in some acrylic based varnish to give it that blue hue? Any ideas on the concentration?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can advise.
