We can do any amount of theoretical research, laboratory development and testing, but in the end, the only way we'll find out if something is any good in normal working conditions is to use it under those conditions. Maybe it will turn out to have attributes that, on balance, make it a better bet than some other steels for some jobs. Maybe the disadvantages will outweigh the advantages. Until it's tried....

They had the "normal" new Veritas chisels at Axminster Nuneaton this week and they look nice.

Someone is indeed lucky!
