Only a few days to Yandles and I have still not decided what I am doing there. If any of you are going pop over and say Hi. I will be the one with the clean turning smock,. I have been forbidden wearing my old one as it's too dirty apparently, honest work dirt IMHO but must obey LOL.

Best of luck, don't suppose you are going to frighten the punters with a too rustic a piece, suspect the risk of associated missiles would not be appreciated, but it would be good for the audience cringe factor and a good clear area around the lathe.
Will try and get round to ask a few embarrassing questions.

Thanks Chas, I am going to be doing some more genteel pieces there I think. With the place full of turners of all levels it is hard to think what to do that is a bit different. Mind you it doesn't have to be all rustic turning as I can demonstrate some of the infill and pewter work as well. I am making up some pewter blanks to take as well.

Pots of dust and some thin CA might surprise a few regarding ease and speed of salvage operations. If it's not too late for prep. a set of WIP examples for the pewter inserts (key/shrinkage consideration etc.) might be a good talking point.

I'm sure it will go even quicker over the two days Pete.
Good luck with it,and i'm sure you'll be fine and draw a good crowd round you :)
