Hi,
Just bought various bench tools off Ebay, just need some timber now!, where's the best, cost effective places to purchase sheet materials, hard & soft woods for various projects, I'm in Manchester.

Many Thanks

Admin note: subject changed - hope you don't mind.

Was it you who got that Hegner 2 complete with hold-down and stand for £156.45 earlier tonight? Oooohhhh.... I hate you already  !

Just joking - welcome to the forum :). All I was really interested in was the stand, which would have cost £80+ on its own. But whoever won that auction got themselves a good deal.

Hope you find some good timber soon.

Hi Steve,

If you haven't already done so why not give Arnold Laver's Timberworld a try? they have a branch on Liverpool Road, Cadishead.

Laver's web site (http://www.laver.co.uk) has details of their full range of timbers.

Cheers

Karl
