…making little platters. Well to be honest, I escaped from chores for an hour this afternoon and made a grand total of one! Last week I got a bit fixated and made many bowls, each one smaller than the last. It’s a sickness and my poor bemused wife is still wondering what to do with them all! Anyway, here’s the platter, made from an offcut of bone dry local oak. It ended up 30cm diameter. I had forgotten how hard that oak is! Come to think of it, there’s quite a few thin offcuts in the barn… hmmm, I wonder who else needs a platter?
