There's another brand in the land down under selling the same machines as Xcaliber although they are green not grey.

They all get the machines from the same factory but apparently they have different specs depending on what the company/importer chooses..

Postage costs: FREE - Collection in Person (Within United Kingdom)
Is that why it is cheaper?
Transport could be arranged I would have thought. Shouldn't account for several (900) hundred pounds cheaper.

Having the woodford Xcalibar 12" (single phase) sat in my workshop and looking at the pictures and specs it would appear that this is the same machine but under a different name. Hope I haven't dropped a b-----k here. Suery not with all the Xcalibar fans on he forum.

It would seem this company Europac make a massive range of machines http://www.europac.com.tw/
If you have a look at their bandsaws (1) SBW4300 then look at Axminsters http://www.axminster.co.uk/product.asp? ... e=1&jump=0

Axminster even call it a 4300 themselves. On ebay, from the same company, the europac machine is about a couple of hundred cheaper
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... eName=WDVW
but in this case as somebody, Charlie I think suggested, Axminster upped the spec a little with bearing guides, and probably had their paint job done in the europac factory. I would suggest woodford had their badges put on in the factory too.

Cheers Alan
