Thinning

Just recived in the post a 500ml tin of Thinner and a 500ml tin of Sanding Sealer (Chestnut). I was told by the supplier to mix them 50/50, the guy on the phone at Chestnut says max 20%, most of the items i will turn will be small bowls/goblets, what is used in practice?

Hi Tony,
I use Chestnuts sanding sealer-I use enough thinners to keep it usable. It does thicken up pretty quickly!
