Never really had too many issues with ebay, either as a buyer or seller. Yes like all i have had a couple of minor probs, but they got sorted.

Last night i won an eclipse no 77 saw set. Postage was £2.95 which seems reasonable given you need to get packing materials, drive to the PO etc.

However just looked through my emails and without informing me or even a mention on the listing about reducing postage. The seller has refunded me £2.45

So well done that man, i will use him again if he has anything i want/need =D> =D>

Plus one. I've been an e Bayer for ten years and never had a problem. I only buy from people with a healthy volume of positive feedback that are close to me typically. I've saved hundreds on a dedicated mortiser and chopsaw. Ive sold an Axminster ts200 to a decent chap who e mailed me pics of his first project with it :/)

It's just people being connected in a different way to this...just costs a bit more for sellers.

That's what the interject does supremely well....connect people with a shared interest

Yep there are a few sellers i will avoid now, as i never checked them out properly. I still remember a couple of buyers for my items.
One was a nice old chap. I sold a negative enlarger and due to the size listed it as collection only. He drove from yorkshire to collect it :)

How can you post something for 50p?

You sure the postage was not £5.95?

Mick

Just found out why. I logged into paypal and checked. Reason given was due to combined postage. After looking it seems like i won 2 items from the seller last night without realising

I've done that for people.
What really annoyed me though were the buyers who claimed something was defective when you know damn well it was perfect. One git even admitted he had another and I suspect he had broken it and claimed the one I sold him was broken. He opened a case with eBay just to get a discount.

As that was just about my last eBay transaction it left a bit of a sour taste...

There are good people on there, ad if you look really hard you can find most things that have been lifted from your store rooms or shed within about three months, so it has its uses. I have, and I do use it, over a thousand sales and purchases under my first name and five hundred under my current one. I did have 100% feedback, on my first account and came off it, I sold an item that was clearly blue in colour, and the person said it was clearly green in the photo, so we argued...... And Sod's law ..... They sent me an email asking me to enter the details again against the green writing, which was clearly blue!!! All their feedback arguments were about the colour of items, EBay....... Could not GAT. Made me laugh though, but pee'd me off.
