Got quite a few new tools (toys!) over the past week. The old toolchest is looking much fuller now. Could still do with some more marking/measuring stuff. Largely ok for saws now. Could do with a no 5 plane. Main area of lacking is clamps!

Roughly from left to right

Cheap hardpoint Tenon saw (can't afford a swanky one, can't afford a cheap ebay one and the bits to sharpen it)
Two marking guages - £20 off ebay - one combination and one mortice only
Small and large claw hammer - from my Gran's house, must have been Grandad's so that's nice.
Small wooden screwdriver - again would have been Grandads
1" Marples chisel - finally bought a decent chisel of ebay! Previous two weren't great, wonky handle and wonky blade on the others
Mujinfang Ebony Rebate Plane - from Workshop Heaven - very nice will post up a short review soon - works like a dream!
Engineers square
Lewin Combination Plane - looks like it's all there, but will need some fettling and sharpening it seems.

I'd be interested in your review of the Lewin...ALF rates them...I'm not sure...

I think I've been put off by having the 043 and then trying to sort out my 55 which will probably end up being sold it's way to complex for my brain! Lovely bit of history though!

The Mujinfang intrigues me though as I have thought of having a look at one of those myself. But other things got in the way of my Oriental plane tangent for a while. Maybe in the summer.

Looks like you have a very useful kit in the making....and on a budget too! Brilliant mate!

That smaller claw hammer looks terrifically cute, reminds me of the handle I put on Mrs. Doyle's jewellery hammer.

The Mujinfang planes are really good.
I have a small smoother which is great on tricky woods.
